The lovely village of Ledston is found 1½ miles east off the A656, north of Castleford. Here thirsty travellers have been coming to enjoy the fine drink and food available at The White Horse, an institution dating back to the 17th century. Known locally as Mary Carr's, this outstanding premises boasts a fantastic outdoor floral display. The interior is equally impressive.
